"Bringing world-class jumping bloodlines to Western Australia"
Contarli Performance Horses is a boutique breeding operation that strives to bring world-class showjumping bloodlines to Western Australia. The stud is based in Oldbury, Western Australia, and is managed by Gemma Alexander González, along with her partner Abel González and parents Shelley and Brian Alexander.
Gemma has been a competition rider from a young age, and since 2010 has developed a real passion for sport horse breeding. By building up a strong herd of predominantly Holsteiner mares, Contarli now has a well-founded foundation on which to breed horses for the highest level of the sport by accessing the top stallions from around the world.
Contarli has been strongly influenced by the breeding operation Noblewood Park Holsteiner Stud. Proprietor Robynne McTaggart has been a great mentor to Gemma over the years, helping get her breeding operation off the ground. Many of our foundation mares carry the Noblewood Park prefix! As Robynne has decided to wind down her breeding, she has decided to pass the reins of Noblewood Park's breeding operation to Gemma, which will be run alongside the Contarli brand. Please visit the Noblewood Park website for further information on this great stud:

Being a boutique breeding operation, Contarli produces just a few foals per year with the focus being on quality rather than a high turnover. Breeding choices are not taking lightly, with many hours being spent analysis the traits of both the mares and potential stallions to ensure that each generation produced improves upon the last.
Many of our mares are also in competition with Gemma, David Goodwin and Maddi Stephen. Preparing young horses and furthering their competition careers is also a big part of what we do here at Contarli. Notable performances by any of the mares can be found under the 'Latest News' tab.
